Value of Turnout improved by good grazing
At this time of year, especially given the recent dry period, your summer grazing might be looking a bit sparse and if that's the case, keeping an eye on the weather will ensure you don't miss the opportunity to spread Suregrow Fertiliser before any rain to revitalise your grazing.
Olympic dressage rider and trainer Richard Davison is based in Staffordshire and uses Suregrow on all of his grazing paddocks. He says, "When it comes to performance horse training thank goodness the message of good turnout is finally getting across. Horses are designed to be out in paddocks with their necks stretched down and moving their legs around, not cooped up in stables. Like other top yards, our horses are turned out 365 days per year. But to do this we need our paddocks in tip-top condition and Suregrow makes sure they are."
Suregrow Fertiliser will help you keep your grazing paddocks in the best possible condition - and you can buy online for direct delivery to your yard. It couldn't be more simple!
STOP PRESS: With outbreaks of possibly thundery rain forecast for many areas of the UK, if your paddocks need a boost, order Suregrow Fertiliser now, while you remember. It's in convenient 20kg bags and you don't normally need to take your horses off their grazing for spreading.
Suregrow Fertiliser Video Training with Richard Davison
With the cut-off date for the British Dressage Summer Regional Championships now passed, Suregrow Fertiliser is - like everyone else - waiting for confirmation of who has qualified for this year's Suregrow Fertiliser Advanced Medium Open and Restricted 'Regionals', which start at the end of July. Top placed riders from each will qualify for the British Dressage National Championships in September.
In a training video produced by Suregrow Fertiliser, international dressage rider and trainer Richard Davison gives a fascinating insight into how a talented horse, the Negro gelding Hiscox Algranco ridden by his wife Gillian, is prepared for the Suregrow Fertiliser Advanced Medium Championship.
Richard explains clearly how he breaks down the Championship test, Advanced Medium 98, into its different parts and focuses on training to improve the horse’s way of going alongside Gillian’s presentation of the test.
This short, free video will be of interest to all riders who want to improve their test riding, but especially those competing at, or moving up to, advanced medium level. Richard Davison uses Suregrow Fertiliser on all of his grazing paddocks and every one of the horses on his yard enjoy daily turnout as part of their impeccable management. He says; “Our horses enjoy their turnout time and by ensuring the grass they graze provides a correct mineral balance, it offers the potential to contribute significantly to their diet and wellbeing, which is very important to me.”
